Covenant Named a Food Logistics Top 3PL & Cold Storage Provider

Prestigious Award Recognizes Industry’s Top 2022 Leading Logistics Providers

Prestigious Award Recognizes Industry’s Top 2022 Leading Logistics Providers

(Chattanooga, TN; August 15, 2022) – Food Logistics, which exclusively covers the movement of product through the global cold food supply chain, has named Covenant Logistics Group, Inc. as a 2022 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers award recipient. This prestigious award program annually recognizes leading third-party logistics (3PL) and cold-storage providers in the cold food and beverage industry.

Covenant, a leading provider of transportation and logistics services to customers throughout the U.S., offers a diverse portfolio that includes a variety of specialized cold-storage options, including refrigerated trucking, blast freezing, and refrigerated loading docks with dock-high, sealed doors. Across the country, the company operates approximately 4 million sq. ft. of warehousing space, including humidity- and temperature-controlled facilities. The company’s cold-storage facilities are approved by FDA and certified for pharmaceutical storage. Covenant can serve as an in-transit consolidation and deconsolidation point for frozen or perishable loads, or for customers seeking to combine perishable and dry loads.

“These past 18 months have been so challenging for U.S. supply chains. It is the continuous bottlenecks that require fleets to re-tool and pivot accordingly. But it's the drivers, the fleet, the warehouses and software/technologies that really keep today's supply chains in line,” said Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief, Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “These 3PLs and cold storage providers have collaborated on all facets of their operations to achieve full visibility, complete forecasting, end-to-end leverage and the ultimate in sustainability. Now is the time to honor and celebrate those companies making magic happen behind the frontlines.”

“We are honored to receive this coveted award and appreciate this recognition, which shines a light on our commitment to customers and priority of providing highly competitive, industry-leading services,” said Paul Bunn, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Whatever is needed – whether it be refrigerated, cold-storage, truckload, LTL, expedited or other logistics services – we work alongside clients to develop a fully customized, targeted solution. Covenant has built its reputation on providing fast, flexible, and reliable service for freight, including perishables and frozen goods, across the U.S.”

Recipients of this year’s award will be profiled in Food Logistics’ July/Aug 2022 print and online issue.
