Industry Recognition: Astin Robertson Named a 2025 “Top Woman to Watch in Transportation”

Covenant Logistics Group, Inc (Covenant) is proud to announce that Astin Robertson, Senior Director of Enterprise Talent Acquisition, has been honored as a 2025 "Top Woman to Watch in Transportation" by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking Association (WIT). This award recognizes women making significant contributions to the transportation industry through leadership, innovation, and business impact.

Astin has played a pivotal role in shaping Covenant’s workforce strategies. Under her leadership, the company’s team driver count reached industry-leading levels, while maintaining an unseated dedicated truck percentage of approximately 1%. Additionally, she was instrumental in doubling the truck count at one of Covenant’s DOTs and spearheading efforts that led to the lowest driver and non-driver turnover numbers in company history.

Her contributions extend beyond talent acquisition. Astin chaired and launched the first-ever Women of Covenant Conference, a week-long internal event designed to empower employees and emphasize work-life harmony. She has also been a driving force in new hire orientation improvements, ensuring that team members feel a sense of belonging from day one. Through her leadership in Women of Covenant, she has helped support local Veteran’s Centers, Blood Assurance, the Mary Ellen Locher Foundation, and YoungLives, while also implementing expectant mother parking for Covenant team members.

“Astin has an unwavering commitment to empowering others in the trucking industry. She brings passion, creative problem-solving, and a heart for people to all that she does,” said Matt Duncan, Vice President, Enterprise Driver recruiting and Talent Acquisition at Covenant.

"Astin's dedication and leadership have been instrumental in driving progress within our organization and the broader transportation community," added Joey Ballard, EVP, People and Safety at Covenant. "We are thrilled to see her contributions acknowledged on such a prestigious platform."

As part of this honor, Astin will be featured in the upcoming Edition 1 of Redefining the Road magazine and online at www.womenintrucking.org/top-women-to-watch. She will also be celebrated alongside fellow honorees at the 2025 WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo, scheduled for November 9-12, 2025, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX.
