Average age of equipment?
Covenant is proud of the modern fleet of tractors it has invested in and maintains. The average age of its tractors is less than two years, and virtually all tractors have automated transmissions.
We also have a modernized fleet of trailer equipment that includes nearly 4,500 dry van trailers that are almost exclusively Wabash Duraplate, with an average of only five years in age. In addition, maintains nearly 750 refrigerated trailers that feature Carrier Units and are an average age of only four years.

Our tractor fleet includes more than 2,600 units (primarily Freightliner Evolution and New Cascadia, Kenworth T680, Peterbilt 579 Ultraloft, and International LT).
Safety features?
For enhanced safety and monitoring, all new trucks are equipped with all-wheel disc brakes, roll stability systems, forward collision monitoring, collision mitigation braking, lane departure monitoring, and forward-facing cameras for critical incident video capture. We also have specialized equipment that includes box trucks, sprinters, chassis, liftgate equipment, and more for unique freight and situations requiring such capabilities.
Trailer technology?
Covenant has invested in the following.
- Omnitracs IVG systems provides tractor tracking, communication, HOS and performance monitoring. This high-tech system is designed with the driver in mind, and provides a resistive touchscreen display, an easyto-read self-dimming screen, intuitive alerts, and hands-free functionality to improve driver satisfaction and safety on the road.
